Year 5RB@RF have had an amazing start to the new academic year. All the children look smart and have come in to class ready to learn. We have started strong and jumped straight into our learning, challenging ourselves in maths with place value activities. In English, we’ve been generating characters and ideas for a narrative we will be writing next week. In French, we have learnt lots of vocabulary relating to komodo dragons. We have also had an exciting time in science and even did our first experiment of the year, finding out what happens when you mix substances together. Finally, we are reading the book called ‘Wonder’ . We’re getting to know characters and their feelings behind a boy who faces many challenges in life and is about to start school for the first time in year 5. Mrs Rodrigues and Ms Bodington a really proud of all the children in the class and are looking forward to an exciting year ahead.
