Yester day in Year 3ZS @RF, we had a fantastic day filled with learning, celebration, and reflection as we marked VE Day. In the morning, we took part in an engaging workshop where we learnt about the impact of World War II, including the staggering fact that over 70 million people lost their lives during the conflict – it would take more than two years to read all of their names aloud. In the afternoon, we stepped back in time and enjoyed playing traditional games that children would have played in 1945, helping us to better understand and connect with the experiences of those who lived during that era.
