REC LT news @RF
What a wonderful few weeks we have had in Reception T @RF! We are excited to share some of the fantastic learning experiences our children have enjoyed.
A Fantastic Adventure at Little Foragers Forest School
Our recent trip to Little Foragers Forest School was a huge success! The children had the most amazing time exploring the natural environment and embracing outdoor learning. They were curious, confident, and fully engaged throughout the day.
The children loved searching for insects, discovering different forest plants, and creating beautiful nature crowns using petals and other natural treasures they found along the way. They enjoyed the freedom to explore, investigate, and play in a safe and inspiring woodland setting. It was wonderful to see their excitement as they worked together, asked thoughtful questions, and developed their appreciation for the natural world.
The day was filled with adventure, laughter, and memorable learning experiences that we know the children will remember for a long time.
Festival of Us – Discovering Italy
As part of our Festival of Us celebrations, Reception has been learning all about the beautiful country of Italy.
The children have enjoyed a range of hands-on activities that brought Italian culture to life. We made delicious pizzas and refreshing ice cream, explored the many different shapes of pasta, and talked about how they are used in traditional Italian cooking.
Our learning has also included music and language. The children have loved learning simple Italian greetings and enthusiastically singing an Italian song all about pizza. It has been wonderful to hear them confidently using new words and embracing another culture through fun, practical experiences.
These exciting activities have helped the children develop their understanding of the wider world while encouraging curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning.
We hope you enjoy looking through the photos from our recent adventures. They capture just some of the smiles, excitement, and wonderful memories we have made together. Thank you, as always, for your continued support—we are looking forward to many more exciting learning experiences in the weeks ahead!
