YR6LD News @RF

In Year 6LD @RF, the students have been diving into the world of poetry with great enthusiasm! Over the past few weeks, we’ve been exploring the unique features of poems, analyzing some of the best literary works, and uncovering the magic behind rhyme, rhythm, and structure. The children have been inspired by their own childhood experiences, and now they are starting to write their own poems! From exciting adventures to the quiet moments that make childhood so special, the students are pouring their hearts into their writing, and the results have been nothing short of impressive. Our teacher is incredibly proud of the creativity and thoughtfulness they’re putting into their work!

But that’s not all – Year 6LD is also having a blast in Maths! We’ve been learning all about measurement, and our focus has been on area, perimeter, and volume. Whether we’re calculating the area of our favorite shapes or figuring out how much space something takes up, the class is showing off their newfound skills and working together to solve real-world problems. It’s amazing to see how these math concepts are coming to life through fun hands-on activities.

We can’t wait to share more of our poetry and math adventures in the weeks to come. Stay tuned for some truly inspiring creations from the talented Year 6LD writers!
