In English the 3CM @RF children created poetry in the form of Kennings, all based on the story of George and the dragon.  We produced storylines and retold the story of George, who is a tiny mouse moving in next door to a dragon, who has a very big secret. 

In Maths we are measuring classroom items in metres, centimetres and millimetres and compared measurements of different measuring units by converting them to millimetres. Ask your child how many mm they can find in one centimetre or metre.

In art we had great success in drawing a cubistic portrait of Picasso with a pencil. We then experimented to give each area a tonal value in blue in order to created a monochrome (just in blue or pink) portrait of Picasso.

In Geography we learned about the countries and mountain ranges in North America and talked about the Panama canal. We received great homework projects and are always excited to see what the children have done. And finally a reminder of making the reading, times table and spelling work a good habit at home.
