YR2RE news @RF
As part of science week, we have been creating our own experiments. What reactions can we make with items from our kitchen cupboards? How can we change the reaction to make it greater or less? We came up with lots of answers and had a lot of fun too!
In our Happymind lessons this half term we have been learning about our character strengths and we were able to develop our bravery when we had some very special visitors in!
We met a huge python, which lots of us were brave enough to hold.
Then we saw a hairy tarantula and were surprised that when some of us held it that the ends of the legs felt a bit sticky.
After we met a very sleepy skunk and all had a lovely stroke, but were very worried that we didn’t want to upset it, because apparently if a skunk sprays everything within a mile will smell for two weeks and you can’t wash the smell off!!
Finally, we saw a tiny owl. Lots of us wore a special glove, had a hold and stroke. The owl even flew onto someone’s back!!
