In their riveting river adventure tale, Year 5EB @ RF have masterfully employed various literary skills to captivate their readers. Through the use of correct punctuation for direct speech, they brought their characters to life, infusing their dialogues with authenticity and emotion. They included a diverse range of sentence starters in their writing, we explored writing sentences using the different figurative language techniques such as similes, metaphors and hyperboles, to describe their characters and setting. They worked hard in producing an engaging narrative, seamlessly transitioning between scenes and actions. Additionally, their skilful use of subordinating conjunctions allowed for the expansion of ideas. We cannot wait to share our amazing work with year 3 next week.
